Compassionate Lactation & Feeding Support for Every Stage of Your Journey
Every feeding journey is unique, and every family deserves support that feels personal. Whether you're preparing for your baby's arrival, navigating breastfeeding, overcoming feeding challenges, returning to work, or beginning the weaning process, Flowstate provides expert, evidence-based care tailored to your family's needs.
Our goal is simple: to help you feel confident, informed, and supported through every stage of feeding.
What to Expect
Simple and Supportive
Step 1:
Start by completing our contact form with information about your feeding concerns and support needs.
Step 2:
Schedule Your Visit
Once we receive your form, a member of our team will contact you to schedule your consultation and review our policies with you.
Step 3:
Complete Your Intake Information
After your visit is scheduled, you will receive a confirmation email with links to complete your health history and consent forms. Please submit these forms as soon as possible, preferably at least 24 hours before your consultation.
You will also receive instructions for creating a profile in the Spruce App, our secure messaging portal.
Step 4:
Confirm Your Insurance Coverage
Our providers are in-network with Aetna and UnitedHealthcare. Although our biller will verify your insurance, we recommend contacting your insurance company personally before your visit to confirm your lactation coverage, deductible and copay responsibilities as well.
Self-pay visits are also available. Payment is collected at the conclusion of the visit, and you will receive a superbill that can be submitted to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
Step 5:
Meet With Your Consultant
Consultations are 1 to 2 hours long and take place in the comfort of your home.
During your visit, your consultant will:
-
Discuss your health history and current feeding experience
-
Complete a breast assessment
-
Assess your baby’s general anatomy, oral anatomy and oral function
-
Observe feeding at the breast or with a bottle
-
Help improve comfort and identify what is working well
-
Provide guidance based on your feeding goals

Step 6:
Receive Your Personalized Care Plan
At the end of your consultation, your consultant will create a customized care plan to help you work toward your feeding goals. You will also receive written notes from your discussion.
When needed, a report will be sent to the appropriate members of your healthcare team.

Step 7:
Continue With Follow-Up Support
Your care does not end when the visit is over. You will receive one week of follow-up text support through the secure Spruce App.
During this time, you can ask questions and receive guidance related to the care plan created during your consultation.
Step 3:
Complete Your Forms
After your visit is scheduled, you will receive a confirmation email with links to complete your health history and consent forms. Please submit these forms as soon as possible, preferably at least 24 hours before your consultation and no later than 9:00 p.m. the night before.
You will also receive instructions for creating a profile in the Spruce App, our secure messaging portal.
You Don't Have to Figure It Out Alone
Feeding your baby is one of the most rewarding parts of becoming a parent, but it can also be one of the most overwhelming.
You may have expected breastfeeding to come naturally, only to find yourself wondering if your baby is eating enough, why feeding hurts, how pumping fits into your routine, or what to do when things don't go as planned. Maybe you're preparing before your baby arrives and simply want to start with confidence.
Whatever brings you here, you're not alone.
At Flowstate: Lactation + Feeding Support, we meet families exactly where they are. We know there isn't one "right" way to feed your baby because every family, every baby, and every journey is different.
Our role isn't to tell you what your feeding journey should look like. Our role is to listen, educate, guide, and help you find what works best for you.
Whether you're breastfeeding, pumping, combination feeding, preparing to return to work, navigating bottle refusal, or wondering how to begin weaning, we're here to provide compassionate support backed by current research and years of clinical experience.
Because confidence doesn't come from having all the answers. It comes from having someone in your corner when you need them.
